Chance to go to WSOP

Thanks to Facebook, i stand a chance, though a very very small one of actually making it to the WSOP! =)

I was so ecstatic when i won! HAHAH, but i was really lucky on my last 2 hands. Also really lucky the 2nd and 3rd place were women! HAHAHA, easier to play with

That makes me a Pro 1m =)

Plateau

Was once told by my English tutor that stories have peaks and plateaus.

I kinda feel like i'm at a plateau at poker now. Beginner's luck clearly worn off. And i'm so not a pro, lightyears away from it in fact.

Tried many different styles of playing but crashed and burned each time, tried bluffing but someone else actually HAD the hand i was pretending to have, happened a few times and then now i am kinda fearful of trying to bluff...

So without luck and without the skill to bluff, i just slowly die off after folding hand after hand. Sucks eh?

Wrong Hand

Trying out new strategies always kills me. Wanted to bet low to milk other's chips but backfired miserably! For someone who gets scared easily like me i shouldn't do that.

I had a pair of aces on the flop. And my kicker was a queen or something quite as high, i guess. This guy raised the bet to 1500. Calling would leave me with like 50. Scared la, I folded.

Turns out he had pocket fours! No fours on the board. Shits. I would have won.

And then i went all in on the wrong hand...

Me was first to leave da table. =( But i smiled anyway, can't be a spoil sport yeah?

Some of the guys at the table actually looked up at me with a smile as i left. Was it respect? Sympathy? I don't know what to feel. I'm sure they remembered me as the young Asian girl who came in second last week.

Since none of us got to the final table, our poker night ended at 11pm. Soooo damn early, the drunks who frequent the Souvlaki shop we frequent (its the only food place that's open at night) aren't even out yet!!

Sooo damn early, Coles was still open! So i bought juice, milk and detergent...

Oooh! E won a t-shirt for coming in 1st place in the sit n go table! Hahahah. And he won the turbo table in APL on Friday! =)

What Would Have Been My First Trophy in Poker

In the heads up between the other guy and i...

He folded his cards, forgetting that he was big blind! Dealer allowed him to change his mind.

It was up to me to call, raise or fold, being the small blind. And i STUPIDLY called!!! Cuz i only had a 3 4.

According to AN and ZH, it DOESN'T MATTER WHAT I HAD! I should have raised, then he would have folded and then i could eaten his big blind!!!!

Turns out he had a 3 6.

We both had a 3 pair. And he beat me for the trophy with a 6 high!

That's how i ended up second place

Would i get a second chance???
